Online gaming developer, Microgaming, has announced that its Microgaming Poker Network has appointed the former Gala Coral Chief Executive Officer, Dominic Harrison, as the new Chairman of its Network Management Board.

Microgaming established its Network Management Board in October, 2011, to oversee the development and operation of its Microgaming Poker Network. The Board is comprised of one representative from each of the leading operators on the Microgaming Poker Network as well as a representative from Microgaming.

Harrison has been appointed to serve as the Network Management Board’s Non-Executive Chairman.

The UK government is presently very concerned about the “aggressive” advertising techniques that are used by online gambling companies.

There are currently approximately 36 hours of gambling advertisements per week taking place through the UK media.
