Attempt being made by Dusk Till Dawn to Break UK Attendance Record

Rob Yong, owner of Dusk Till Dawn, the home of United Kingdom poker, has revealed that they will be staging an event at the club in an attempt to break the record for the largest UK tournament attendance.

The record currently stands at 730 runners at the European Poker Tour (EPT) in London which could possibly be broken at the next EPT later this month.

Yong is attempting to get a record number of 800 runners at the Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix on 29th to 31st October to meet its GBP 40,000 guarantee. The event will have an entry fee of GBP 50 and a cap of 900.

Yong has set the target to above the current UK record of 730 runners in order to show how determined he is to break the present record but admits that he is nervous about this forthcoming event and as this is their first attempt, they will be satisfied with any number above 500. He has made sure that the buy-in will be affordable to all players who will be given a structure with 10,000 chips and a 45 minute clock for a buy-in of only GBP 50. Players will be getting exceptional value with this event as the guaranteed GBP 40,000 prize money means that the tournament is equivalent to a tournament with an entry of GBP 500 and 80 runners.

Registration can only be done online in order to prevent an uncontrollable queue at the club’s cash desk.
