Bad Beat Jackpot Currently Standing at Euros 550,000

It has been announced by GTECH G2 that the Bad Beat jackpot for its International Poker Network (IPN) has now exceeded the amount of Euros 550,000.

GTECH G2 is the interactive subsidiary of the popular American gaming technology and services firm GTECH Corporation and has revealed that any player playing at the leading online poker sites that include MermaidPoker.com, SportingBet.com and VirginPoker.com and losing with four tens or better is guaranteed a minimum win of Euros 150,000 in cash with every other competitor in the unfortunate hand banking not less than Euros 10,000.

Head of Poker Networks for GTECH G2, Tony Ure, said that it can be very painful for players to lose with a good hand but that the Bad Beat jackpot offers everyone at the table relief from the pain.

In order to have a chance at the International Poker Network’s Bad Beat jackpot it is necessary for players to be at a designated table and have utilized both pocket cards in their winning or losing hand. It is also necessary for the losing hand to be in quad tens or better and at least four competitors must have been dealt into the game.

GTECH G2 paid out one of its largest Bad Beat jackpots last November when a player at PokerHeaven.com won a whopping Euros 105.254 and the table’s other competitors received Euros 15,036 each. Since then it has been hit for a number of lesser amounts.

The winner of the November Bad Beat jackpot immediately left the table after his loss with such a good hand and was speechless when he realized that he had won. After his win he stated that he intended buying an apartment and playing a lot more poker.
