Betfair Signs Premier Deal

Betfair, the leading British online betting exchange operator has signed a six-figure deal in terms of which it will now be the official betting partner of UK radio station TalkSport for the station’s weekend Premier League coverage.

MediaWeek.co.uk, the online information portal, has revealed that Betfair will be the betting partner for the station’s flagship Saturday afternoon show, Match Day Live, which is presented across the United Kingdom by Adrian Durham and Ian Wright as well as the Call Collymore football phone-in program which is hosted by former professional soccer player Stan Collymore.

The deal was brokered by media firm, UTV, and also includes the Jeremy Kyle show, which runs on Sundays from noon to three o’clock in the afternoon as well as Football First which is broadcast at five o’clock on Saturday afternoons for two hours.

The shows will include the Betfair Punter Panel which will feature an expert fan from each club discussing betting options and also Fan v Fan where supporters will have an opportunity to debate the week’s main talking points while Andy Lulham, Betfair’s voice of football, will give information on odds and betting stories.

Last month Betfair replaced Betfred as Manchester United football club’s official betting partner making it their first football club tie since 2003 when it had a one-year shirt deal with Fulham Football Club after which Betfair’s promotions were concentrated on horseracing and cricket. Betfair is presently the official betting partner of the England & Wales Cricket Board.
