Boom Time for Bingo

Bingo was always thought of as a tired game for old ladies in Church halls. However, with the rise of online casinos, bingo received a new lease on life and within just a few years the numbers had grown exponentially. Once again, bingo was “cool”.

There is huge growth potential in Europe and independent researchers have also projected a growth of around 20% for the online bingo industry. During economic slumps, consumers generally turn to what is tried and trusted as a way of cocooning. However, online bingo is only a recent entry into the online casino games stable, and this completely contradicts what the economic models have been indicating. The rise in popularity could be attributed to the fact that land based bingo has been around for ages.

Online bingo is not the only game set for growth in 2010. Online backgammon has also seen a bigger demand as of late and this further indicates that customers are flocking back to more traditional games. In fact, many casino experts believe that online bingo will catapult itself in the next 5 years to compete with games like online poker in terms of numbers.
