Boss Media Awarded eCOGRA Software Certification

Boss Media recently became the 18th software provider to be awarded the eCOGRA software certification after a stringent on-site review.

Boss Media was founded in 1996 by a Swedish entrepreneur Joe Wikell and is regarded as one of the most established software providers to the online gaming industry with experience in online gambling operations. The company is presently part of the GTechG2 group.

There are many well-known casinos that are powered by Boss Media including Paddy Power Casino, Casino.net, Casino Club and bWin Casino. The International Poker Network is also operated by Boss Media with poker rooms that include Poker Kings, Paradise Poker, Virgin Poker and InterPoker. eCOGRA approval has been awarded to both Boss Media’s online casino as well as the online poker software.

Bradley Khoury, a Chartered Accountant and Information Systems Auditor and compliance manager of eCOGRA headed the review after travelling to Boss Media’s head office in Vaxjo. It took Khoury and his team a few days in which to conduct a thorough review of systems and software so as to ascertain that they were in compliance with the industry best practice standards that is required by eCOGRA’s e GAP program.

eCOGRA’s standards for software suppliers focus on the internal controls governing the development environment so as to ensure that the software is maintained, implemented and continuously operated in a secure, safe and reliable manner.

Khoury was completely satisfied with the cooperation he received from the Boss Media team’s Process Manager. The chief executive officer of eCOGRA announced that Boss Media is a highly respected industry company and that the process efficiencies and high quality of the software reflect that. He congratulated Boss Media and its employees on their very professional effort.
