Dates of 2011 World Series of Poker Announced

The dates for the 42nd annual World Series of Poker scheduled to take place in 2011 have already been announced and leading online Poker Sites are already offering satellites which will put their players in line to win entry into this event.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is open to anyone over the age of 21 years and the 2011 campaign will start on Tuesday, 31st May, 2011 and continue for 50 days until Tuesday, 19th July, 2011.

The WSOP rose to fame after Benny Binion invited six of the world’s best poker players to join him at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas during 1970 and is today one of the richest sporting events in the world. Some of the best poker players on the planet are attracted to this event.

The 2011 WSOP is scheduled to be held in the Convention Centre of the Rio All-suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Main Event will start on Thursday 7th July, 2011 and will feature four starting days, namely 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th July, 2011. The final tournament of the annual WSOP will be the WSOP Main Event and its conclusion is slated for Tuesday, 19th July, 2011, after the final table of nine players is reached.

The 2011 event will include hard stop times for all bracelet events and players will play a maximum of 10 levels per day after which the remaining players will have their chips bagged and tagged. These remaining players will return the follow day in order to continue in the tournament.

The full schedule for the WSOP event will be released in January, 2011.
