The independent player protection and standards body servicing the online gambling industry, eCOGRA was proud to announce that it has recently achieved two very important achievements.
eCOGRA has successfully qualified as a testing agency with the Italian regulator Amminstrazionne Autonoma Monopoli di Stato (Autonomous Administration of the State Monopolies) – the Italian gambling authority, AAMS. The result of this achievement means that eCOGRA will be allowed to act as a testing and monitoring agency for gaming operator applications and random number generators so as to ensure that they comply with the high standards that are set by the AAMS.
Groups that have hopes of getting a foot into the Italian gambling market can now turn to eCOGRA.
After proving that it was able to meet the Geneva based International Organization of Standards (ISO)’s strict systems orientated standards and requirements London-based eCOGRA was granted the ISO’S accreditation. This accreditation is one of the quality assurance requirements for approval as a testing agency in many European remote gambling licensing jurisdictions.
Andrew Beveridge, the Chief Executive Officer of eCOGRA was thrilled with these achievements and said that more jurisdictional approvals would be announced by the group in the coming months. He also congratulated his IT and audit staff on these achievements and saluted their professional commitment to the highest international standards.
Many Microgaming powered sites have eCOGRA accreditation and proudly carry the group’s Safe and Fair seal. This means that they meet eCOGRA’s requirements to provide a secure gaming environment for their players with fair payouts and random number generators.
