Golden Palace Online Casino Buys Justin Bieber’s Hair Lock

Golden Palace Online Casino, well known for its great publicity stunts, has won a bid to purchase locks from the head of one of the world’s most famous performers, the teen wonder, Justin Bieber. 16 year old Bieber appeared recently on the Ellen DeGeneres show and handed her a lock of his hair as a birthday present to her. Bieber told Ellen that he wanted her to donate it to whatever charity she wanted.

Ellen put the hair up for auction, and after a lengthy bidding process, it was finally Golden Palace Online Casino that won the auction after agreeing to pay $40,668. The money raised from the auction will be donated, at Ellen’s request, to the Gentle Barn, a nonprofit organization that assists abused farm animals and at-risk special needs kids.

Incredibly, Justin Bieber’s hair fetched more than a lock of Elvis Presley’s hair that was sold in 2009 for $15,000.

Golden Palace Casino said that it would continue to make money from the lock of hair, with all proceeds going to charity. The Bieber hair will be put out on tour and all money raised will be donated.

This is not the first time that Golden Palace Casino has placed a winning bid on an item put up for sale by Ellen DeGeneres. In 2004, the site purchased a Cabbage Patch Doll made in Ellen’s likeness, and all the money raised went to the American Red Cross to help hurricane victims in the US.
