iPhone Wagering Premiered at PaddyPower.com

Dublin-based online sportsbook, PaddyPower.com, has announced the launch of a downloadable application for the smartphone that will give iPhone users the opportunity to manage their account while on the go.

This innovative application that was developed with the Swedish mobile telephone games and content developer, Mobenga, is available at Apple’s Application Store and will enable customers to open an account, deposit or withdraw funds and also place multiple wagers by using an iPhone or iPod Touch.

James Grimes, Product Manager for Paddy Power is thrilled with the positive response to the new iPhone application from their customers and revealed that they have been developing the iPhone application for the past few months and have taken customer feedback and worked with their development partners, Mobenga, in order to deliver what they considered to be the most suitable interface for their clients. He added that the application was created specially in order to cater for their mobile customers in the UK and Ireland and that these customers are now able to use their products and services while on the move. They are hoping that the new football season will see many of their customers getting involved in mobile betting and are looking forward to many more clients taking an interest in mobile betting in the future.

The iPhone accounts for more than 50% of sportsbetting activities of Paddy Power’s mobile channel at present and they are currently in the process of developing further technology for Android and future mobile handset devices.

Paddy Power and Mobenga intend continuing to develop more services and responding to customer feedback.
