Justin Timberlake Tipped For Dirty Dancing Remake

The news that a remake of the hit movie Dirty Dancing is in the pipeline has been met with great excitement and anticipation.

Kenny Ortega, who was the choreographer of the original Dirty Dancing and the film director of High School Musical, will now be creating the remake of Dirty Dancing.

The main male character in the original movie was the late Patrick Swayze and it will not be easy to match his performance.

Justin Timberlake is being tipped by bookmakers to replace Swayze by starring in the forthcoming “Dirty Dancing” remake.

Timberlake acted in “Friends with Benefits” and is firm favorite with Paddy Power betting shops to play the part of Johnny Castle. This part was originally made famous by Patrick Swayse in the 1980’s hit movie.

Emma Stone, the “Superbad” actress is being tipped to play Frances “Baby” Houseman.

Bookmakers, Paddy Power, are giving odds of 3/1 on Justin who faces stiff competition from Chris Hemsworth, who acted in Thor, of 6/1 as well as Zac Efron at 8/1.

“Glee” actress, Lea Michelle and “Scream 4” star Emma Roberts are joint second favorites at 8/1 to play the role of Frances which was originally played by Jennifer Grey in the original movie.

One of the dancers on Dancing with the Stars, Derek Hough, is also believed to be actively campaigning for the role. However it would appear as though the producers are not very keen with this idea. Hough is carrying odds of 16/1.

Jennifer Grey, who starred in the 1987 original, revealed that she is very excited about this news of the remake and is certain that there is nobody better than her beloved Kenny Ortega to do this.
