A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) of Singapore and the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) in order to create a platform for international collaboration.
The Memorandum signed this week between these two major gambling authorities will lead to the sharing of knowledge, information, skills, expertise, training and exchange visits. An annual meeting will also be held by the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore and the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The Memorandum of Understanding was executed at the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s office in Las Vegas, Nevada, by Chief Executive of the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, Mr. R Raja Kumar and the Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Mr. Mark Lipparelli.
Speaking at the signing, Mr. T Raja Kumar said that their relationship with the Nevada Gaming Control Board began way back when the Casino Regulatory Authority was first being set up and new in this industry. He added that Nevada’s vast experience in regulating casinos as well as their open sharing on restrictive best practices has been of great use to the Singaporean authority as it was developing the casino regulatory framework for itself.
Mark Lipparelli, Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, said that it is very important to establish and foster meaningful relationships with regulatory bodies in different parts of the world since its licensed gaming operators are expanding their business globally. He added that a respected plan for regulation has been established by the CRA who share many of their philosophies for appropriate regulatory oversight and the agreement formalizes the strategic ties that they have developed with a respected regulator.
