New Playtech Flash Software launched by Betfair

The new software deal between leading online gaming software provider Playtech and Betfair online casino is due to come to fruition at the end of this month with the launch of Playtech’s new Flash-based product.
Although Playtech has provided Betfair’s internet casino software in a download format ever since November 2009 the terms of this new agreement will see Playtech adding a complementary flash-based offering thus making it the sole provider on Betfair’s casino portal.
Almost all of Betfair’s portfolio of the download casino will now be available in the Flash casino and will include many of the branded online slots, including the very latest releases such as Pink Panther and Rocky.
Flash players make up more than 75% of Betfair’s casino activity and the casino will gain considerable synergy by having both the download and the Flash casinos on the same operating platform as this should create a much greater opportunity for cross selling, increased bonus packages and VIP management tools all with a single casino wallet.
Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, Mor Weizer, reported that this is a significant expansion of their casino relationship with Betfair as the flash format makes up a great portion of their player’s activity. He added that they have enjoyed working with the Betfair team during the past year and that this new move will be a step change in their relationship as they become Betfair’s exclusive casino tab supplier as well as an important new revenue stream for them.
