New Pro US Online Gambling Group Formed

A new trade associated aimed to legalize and regulate online gambling in the United States was formed recently.
Some of the big names in the industry, such as United Kingdom online gaming websites PKR and Sportingbet, have been attracted to support the new Association and are among the founding members of this Association and along with Secured American Games were the first to pledge financial and technical support for the newly created U.S. Online Gaming Association (USOGA).
Melanie Brenner, who formerly headed the Poker Voters of America group, will lead the new Association and in her first interview stated that with the failure of a federal solution to the issue, the opening of a lucrative US market will be through state capitals such as Tallahassee, Trenton and Sacramento. She added that the work that they have accomplished through Poker Voters has uniquely positioned them to be the most effective voice in moving the issue. Brenner also stated that the future of internet gambling in the United States depends hugely on how successful it is on state level.
It is expected that three more top names in the industry will join PKR and Sportingbet in committing to the new Association and online operators and gambling companies have until 14th February to pledge their support.
Chief Executive of PKR, Malcolm Graham, stated that the time was ripe in the gambling industry to gather all interested parties together in an attempt to push for the legalization of online gambling in the United States.
