What happened to Chris Moorman, one of the best online poker stars to come out of the UK in many years, when he was due to take part in the largest event of the UK poker year, the World Series of Poker Europe? The event got underway on Tuesday 14th September 2010 at the Empire Casino in London. Many poker fans were looking forward to see Moorman in live tournament action.
A number of big names in poker – online and off – announced that they would be attending this festival that is playing host to five bracelet events and will consist of two new formats.
Moorman was due to take part in Day Two of the WSOPE but mysteriously did not show up and nobody had any idea where he was. His phone went unanswered and organizers started to get worried that their poster boy would not be making an appearance. Finally, Moorman stumbled into his empty seat just before the end, saying that he had trouble getting into bed on time the night before and that he had no alarm clocks to get him out of bed in time for the poker event.
The WSOPE is the scene of some great live poker action, including a new event – a GBP 10,000 no-limit hold’em high roller heads up which will make its debut on 21st September as the fourth preliminary event.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
