Poker Stars Releases 2010 WCOOP Schedule

One of the biggest and most popular of all the many online poker series hosted by Poker Stars each year, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) will commence on 5th September 2010.
PokerStars.com, the leading Isle Of Man-licensed online poker site, has released its provisional schedule for the 2010 edition of this exciting event that will commence on September 5th at one o’clock in the afternoon New York time and continue for a period of three weeks.
This year’s Poker Star’s World Championship of Online Poker will include 62 online poker tournament events. Last year’s WCOOP comprised of 45 such events with a guaranteed prize pool of $50 million. The guaranteed prize pool for the 2010 Poker Stars WCOOP is still to be revealed.
The series will commence with a $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em six-maximum event followed two hours later with a high-roller variation that will cost $10,300 to enter. At five o’clock that same afternoon a $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em two-day tournament will commence. The following day will start with a $320 buy-in pot-limit Omaha event commencing at two o’clock in the afternoon and a high-roller $25,500 buy-in two-day no limit hold’em heads-up tournament will kick off on September 18th. On September 25th a $2,100 buy-in Horse competition will take place.
Last year’s World Championship of Online Poker awarded close to $52 million in prize money to PokerStars.com players. PokerStars.com will soon announce more news as to this year’s schedule and will also give information on guarantees.
