Two Firsts from Playtech

Playtech, the online casino provider which was founded in 1999 and designs, develops and deploys unified gaming platforms for the online gaming industry, consolidated its position in the online gaming software industry by making a few strategic moves during 2009.

Even though it is still early in the New Year, Playtech has already announced two firsts, one being that it will be the first online gaming software provider to operate in Estonia.

The Estonian-Press has reported that Estonia will be legalizing online gambling some time during this year and that wagering can only be done by Estonians on national gaming platforms. The Olympic Casino group is due to set up the first of these gaming platforms and has chosen Playtech as its software provider.

According to the Estonian Free press, the Chief Executive for Playtech, Mor Weizer, has expressed that they, as the world’s leading online gambling software developer are very glad to have the opportunity of starting a partnership with Olympic who is the leading casino entertainment provider in Central and Eastern Europe. Weizer added further that Playtech’s strategy that involves providing premium technological solutions in well regulated markets had succeeded in Estonia.

Another first for Playtech is the launch of the first Playtech powered sports book by Euro Partners, a leading affiliate program which backs online casinos and poker rooms which run on Playtech software. Playtech is offering two features for Titan Bet which is one of the leading brands of this group. This new venture by Euro Partners will enable them to tap into a new market of online players including Sports betting and Euro Partners has great plans for Titan Bet. Playtech will provide their software in German, Spanish and French by the end of this month and Portuguese and Scandinavian languages will soon follow.
