Italian Poker Network Launched by Microgaming

A brand new poker network has been announced by online gambling software provider Microgaming that has been dedicated to the Italian online gaming market.

Ladbrokes has become its first customer since Microgaming gained AAMS approval and was successful in completing an extensive beta testing period. Microgaming is also negotiating with numerous other operators at the moment who are interested in partnering with Microgaming in order to enter or solidify their position in the Italian market.

Italian players are now enjoying access to all the world class poker tournament games offered by Microgaming.

Roger Raatgever, chief executive of Microgaming, reported that Italy is an important region for the future gaming in Europe in view of the fact that it has set the standard for other countries wishing to introduce gaming regulations. He stated further that it is a very important opening for further EU expansion. Microgaming hopes to play their part in helping the Italian market to take full advantage of the opportunities that they are offering.

CEO for Ladbrokes Italia, Mattia Nicelli, reported that Microgaming hosts the most established poker network and has a proven track record in online poker. He stated that their decision to join its Italian Network should prove to be of great benefit to their players.

Microgaming is presently working with regulatory parameters in order to develop the poker games portfolio even further and they are confident that with the Italian market due to become increasingly open and competitive in the near future they have the right resources and alliances to enable them to support their operators and help them to succeed.
